The greatest things Ogbia People need today are not roads, electricity and other basic infrastructures that we all clamour for.
While these developmental projects are very sacred and sacrosanct because of their irreplaceable positions and importance in our lives as a unique People who are blessed beyond human measures, the greatest things that we need now are: Self Realization, Self-Rediscovery, Peace, Unity and Love. The above will attract all the good things that we want.
We need to develop a new consciousness, the revival of our culture of Brotherhood. Let us begin to talk about ‘NEO-ENAI OGBIA’, NEO-OGBIALIZATION’ and every other thing including good roads, good schools, pipeborne water, uninterrupted electricity, good health facilities, skill acquisition centres, social welfare schemes for widows and orphans, scholarships for indigent students, etc are all embedded in the above.
We must make deliberate effort to regain our Self-worth. It is only a Prince or Princess that is conscious about his or her royalty that can walk tall in the gathering of great men and women.
We are blessed beyond human measures. We are like the Jews/Israelites. God has blessed us with abundant human and material cum natural resources but unfortunately, it seems most of us are no longer conscious about these great blessings otherwise, we will not allow outsiders to tell us or remind us who we are. If we are conscious about our greatness, we won’t allow outsiders who envy and jealous our blessings, those who are bent on dedtroying, exterminating or annihilating Ogbia people are not supposed to define who we are. If we have self-worth and we actually know who we are, we won’t clap and celebrate those who are bent on relegating Ogbia politically.
What we need most today is Self consciousness. We must rediscover who we are as a great people. We must realize the irreplaceable position of ENAI OGBIA in our history as a great people. The Israelites spent 400years on a journey, they should have spent days because they got distracted and that distraction disconnected them from their source which is Almighty God.
Our great fathers, Rev. George Amangala, Chief (Sen.) Dr Melford Obiene Okilo, Chief Ranami Abah, Justice Igoniwari, Chief R.O.A Abila, Chief Innocent Igodo Afagha and others succeeded because they knew the secret and they were connected to the source and they emerged victorious at all times. Ogbia matters were always treated internally and within. They never joined external collaborators and aggressors to destroy Ogbia. They dreamt about the greatness of Ogbia and they made deliberate efforts to achieve the greatness.
As you read this piece God, Enai Ogbia has provided all the basic infrastructures that we need. They are the least of His abundant blessings for us. God is raising new generational leaders that will promote and project our great Kingdom to greater heights but this can only be possible if we begin to appreciate His graciousness and faithfulness to us as manifested in our present leaders who will serve as bridges. These great leaders are the people who know the Secrets to unlock those blessings. These leaders are the people who have given us voices and identity. They have raised the ever enviable Ogbia Flag to the High Heavens and today, Ogbia Kingdom is counted among ethnic tribes and nations not just within Nigeria but globally.
Today, I celebrate President Goodluck Jonathan GCFR the present bearer of the Light of Ogbia Kingdom and Chief Visionaire, Dr. Mrs Patience Jonathan mother of the Ijaw Nation, King Charles Owaba the Obenobhan of Ogbia Kingdom, King Amalate Turner, Chief Asara A. Asara, Chief Innocent Igodo Afagha, King George Lawson, HRH Rt. Hon. Claudius Enegesi, Chief (Hon.) Benson Agadaga National Chairman of Ogbia Brotherhood, Dr. Azibapu Eruani, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Niemennam Ikuli, Chief (Hon) Robert Enogha, Barr. Azibaola Robert, Chief Mitema Obordor, Senator Clever Ikisikpo, Chief (Hon.) Augustus Elliot Osomu, Mrs. Immaculata Amaseimogha, High Chief Olord Bassuo, Hon. Maxwell Oko, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, High Chief George Alabh Turnah, Chief Frank Ibegi, Hon. Nadu Karibo and other great sons and daughters of the great and most blessed Ancient Ogbia Kingdom.
I also eulogize, immortalize, celebrate, appreciate and remember the immeasurable, invaluable and unquantifiable sacrifices and contributions of our great leaders who have joined our great ancestors but are still working, speaking and even watching over us, Rev. George Amangala, Chief (Sen.) Dr. Melford Obiene Okilo, Chief Ranami Abah, Captain Amangala, Justice Igoniwari, Barr. Oronto Douglas, Hon. Azibaolonari Nelson, Mr. Gordon Koniepu Obua, Hon. Sammy Boy, King Maddock Ogbogi and other great sons and daughters of Ogbia Kingdom.
What we need most today as a great people that will trigger accelerated socio-economic and political growth and development of our great People is Unity, Peace and Love which our great BROTHERHOOD which was revealed by ENAI OGBIA represent.
We must begin to respect and also celebrate our great leaders both living and death. This is the great secret. Let us do away with the song of undevelopment that our enemies and aggressors hurriedly composed for us. While we occupy our minds with bitterness and the Epic song of division and underdevelopment, the composers are moving forward. They have discovered one of our great secrets which is the fact that Almighty God, Enai Ogbia only dwell in a clean, happy and grateful mind. They have discovered that when our great people are happy and grateful, great and wonderful things begin to happen, while the opposite attract unprecedented underdevelopment.
THE REDISCOVERY OF ENAI OGBIA, THE BROTHERHOOD AND REOGBIALIZATION OF OUR MINDS AND PEOPLE
Like the Jews/Israelites, it is time to rediscover who we are. It is time to rediscover our true identity as a great people God has bestowed upon so much blessings. It is time to think about the greatness of Ogbia. It is time to make conscious and deliberate efforts to reconcile and reunite our great people. It is time for our great people to speak with one united voice again.
We are small in terms of population compared to other larger tribes and nations, yet we are respected and even feared because of our unity of purpose. They respect us because our disagreements don’t last over night. They respect us because we disagree during the day but quickly and quietly harmonize our differences and interests overnight and it has always been the common interest of our great people. The interest of the generality of our great people has always superseded.
Let Ogbia people organise ‘OGBIA NATIONAL THANKSGIVING DAY‘ to celebrate and appreciate the awesomeness and faithfulness of God. Let us set aside our political differences and work as One United and Indivisible Ogbia Kingdom.
I see a greater and brighter Light. I see a New great and very prosperous Ogbia Kingdom.
