Okodi Community in the Ogbia Local government area of Bayelsa State through the leadership of Omilo Okodi has condemned in strong terms the recent attacks that led to the destruction of the Community Secretariat as well as Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) sensitive materials met for the conduct of Ogbia Ward 5 constituency 2 House of Assembly Elections.
The group warned that they ‘will not tolerate any attempt b y OKODI perfidy and insider collaborators to connive with Political spent forces and foreign mercenaries to undermine our peace and harmony’.
The group also promised to work with security agencies to unravel those behind the dastardly act.

ATTACK ON INEC FACILITIES__SLAP ON OMILO OKODI.
The Leadership of OMILO OKODI has observed with serious disdain reported attacks on INEC facilities for the conduct of Ward 5, Ogbia Constituency 2, Bayelsa State House of Assembly Elections. The dastardly and brutal attacks which took place during the wee hours of Friday 17th March 2023 led to the destruction of OKODI COMMUNITY Temporary Secretariat worth millions of naira while INEC sensitive materials were destroyed during the inferno.
Fortunately, INEC Ad hoc Staff posted to the Area escaped death by whiskers. These incessant unpalatable attacks are one too many and an affront to OMILO OKODI and a direct confrontation to the Community.
Let me state in clear terms that OMILO OKODI will not tolerate any attempt by OKODI perfidy and insider collaborators to connive with Political spent forces and foreign mercenaries to undermine our peace and harmony. It will resist any fifth greedy columnists who prefer to pick crumbs from their Political Master, disrespectfully undermine constituted authority and those trying to jeopardize the sanctity of Life and prevailing peace must be exposed, name and shame, ostracized, invoke the Land to place a permanent curse on them and their Political banditry network.
OMILO OKODI will work with the Leadership of the Community and Security Agencies and ensure that those behind the odious and heinous crime are arrested, prosecuted, and sent to Prison as this will serve as a deterrent to other misguided elements and traducers who masquerade as ominous Youth Political Vanguards.
