As a living witness to what happened in Ogbia Constituency 2, I can boldly say APC is the root cause of why the Election did not hold.
Along the line, they lost confidence in their Oweri candidate and came up with the idea of canceling the strongholds of the PDP through the burning of voting materials and then winning the Election with their APC’s supposed strongholds.
In Physics one of the Laws of Motion States categorically that:
“in a given action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
In pigin language, it can be stated as “You do me I do you.”
While INEC in their lapses also failed to provide security personnel across the entire wards leaving their Materials vulnerable for unidentified hoodlums to take advantage of.
Suggestions for the way forward:
INEC should fix a new date for the said election where there should be Maximum Security from the State and Federal Government and let there be a free and fair election where one man will cast one vote. The winner carries the Day. Election, not war.
As a law-abiding citizen, I went home to exercise my franchise but rather saw war and came out alive to the glory of God. During the Military Invasion against all PDP Members of the Community, I fled from Ologi forest to Southern Ijaw Constituency 2, where I met with the “AGALA’s Family” in Obololi and Igebiri Communities as a son of the Family who came for the first time in his life, I was warmly received and entertained by my relatives and the family children.
But as a Lover of the Party PDP, I continued with them to ensure that RT. Hon. Obolo Bubou was re-elected. After the election, we moved over to Yenagoa through the road constructed by His Excellency Senator Douye Diri Leading to Oporoma, headquarters of Southern Ijaw L.G.A. It was a wonderful adventure. I thank His Excellency for constructing this road for my people here in SILGA. Election Not War. Vote don’t fight.
