Chief Senator Bishop Degi Biobarakuma -Eremionyoun hails from Agada(Asaga) Community -Bassambiri Opu Nembe Kingdom in Nembe LGA Bayelsa State.
In the then Brass Local Government, when Idema Town Abureni Kingdom was administered under the Nembe District Balga Ward 5 comprising Idema, Asaga and Ikensi. Degi was elected Councillor and he represented Idema Community well and other communities that made up the ward.

For the record he appointed an Idema man as SA and another Supervisory Councillor.
Degi is a man of dual capacity, he has the Ogbia blood and the Nembe blood. In fact, any Nembe man that does not have any Ogbia Root is not a true Nembe man. History has it that Peresuo the father of Mingi and Ogbodo, his mother is from the SAKAS (Odual Ogbia in Rivers State ).

The Nembe Kingdom and Ogbia Kingdom are one and politics can not separate the two twin Kingdom. The two kingdom left Benin the same time and settled at Ogbia Tokolo at the mouth of Brass River before their departure to their present settlements.

As Ogbia people we don’t need to cry but to thank God for given us a person like Degi that will attract development to the entire Bayelsa State and our abandoned Road in particular .

What Ogbia need now is not positions because we have held all the positions in Government both in the legislature, Executive and Judiciary but because of acrimony and in house fighting among ourselves God will not allow us hold some kind of position now.

But luckily he has already given us EDFA that is more than a deputy Governor.
What we need now as a people is to reorganized ourselves, Unite, forgive each other and seek the face of the Enai and God almighty for forgiveness and blessings.

We must as a people realized that we have offended our generation and the Enai Ogbia either knowingly or unknowingly, voluntarily or coercively undermine the developement of our people. We have to think-tank and draw a long-term agenda for for Development of both human and infrastructures devoid of politics.

Go back to the period when Ogbia Aheeee Ogbia!! Heeeee!!! Aribar baka Arila!! Aria!! Ogbia na Don!! Aguo anyoun anyoun oh!!!
Please accept Degi because you must pass Idema before you reach Asaga Degi’s Village about 1km away from Idema..
